Brooks/ALCO Railroad Display

The Brooks/ALCO Railroad Display is located at the Chautauqua County Fairgrounds on Central Avenue in Dunkirk, NY.

It features the former Boston & Main #444 Locomotive, donated by the Fletcher Granite Company of West Chelmsford, Massachusetts,

in 1986.

The locomotive was constructed at the American Locomotive Company’s Brooks Works in 1916, builder’s #56532.

Also at the site are the Delaware & Hudson woodsided boxcar #22020, a New York Central woodaen caboose #19224, and various other local railroad artifacts.
